The Jaguar F‑PACE has been named the top Luxury SUV at the inaugural AA Driven New Zealand Car of the Year awards overnight.
The F‑PACE which was also named World Car of the Year and World Design Car of the Year in 2017, is Jaguar’s first performance SUV and family sports car.
Jaguar NZ general manager Steve Kenchington says the F‑PACE concept has resonated well in the local market.
“While the F‑PACE is Jaguar’s first SUV, the company has been designing vehicles for nearly a century and it has taken a long term focus and effort to achieve awards like these.
Jaguar’s racing pedigree has also been successfully integrated into their modern passenger vehicles ensuring that luxury need not sacrifice performance.
The AA Driven award is local recognition of a vehicle which has cleaned up internationally.
Globally, the F‑PACE has become Jaguar’s fastest selling model ever. local demand for this SUV has also been exceptionally strong and as a result we have recently introduced the 20d Prestige and will also soon announce details of a high performance SVR model for this market,” he says.
Kenchington says with new pricing starting at $89,900 is F‑PACE is also one of the most affordable in its class. Engine options range from the efficient and innovative four-cylinder 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel, with CO2 emissions as low as 126g/km to the high-performance SVR model capable of reaching 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds.
